Tattoo Aftercare

LEAVE SECOND SKIN WRAP ON FOR 3-5 DAVS..

START CLEANING PROCESS AS SOON AS WRAP COMES OFF

  • Wash tattoo gently with your hand and a gentle unscented antibacterial soap.
  • Pat dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
  • Apply a very thin layer of tattoo aftercare (A&D, Wicked Fast, Hustle Butter, Mad Rabbit).
  • Try to avoid prolonged exposure to UV rays.
  • After 7-10 days switch to any unscented lotion.
  • After 2 weeks send a picture to your artist and schedule a one-time free touch up if necessary.

PIERCING AFTERCARE

Your piercer cleaned and disinfected the area pierced and used sterile needles, sterile piercing instruments, and sterile jewelry. Now it is up to you to take appropriate care of your piercing.

CLEANING YOUR PIERCING

  • Clean twice a day with witch hazel or saline.
  • *You can also get piercing spray (saline) on amazon.*
  • Put witch hazel or saline on a dry, clean cotton swab and clean BOTH sides of your piercing.


TONGUE AND LIP PIERCINGS:
  • Use alcohol free mouth rinse or mix a tbsp of sea salt with 8 oz of water and swish. *Do this twice a day or after eating/smoking.*
  • For lips, also clean the outside with witch hazel or saline.


HOOPS:
If you were pierced with a hoop, make sure you clean the entire jewelry as well.

TIPS AND ADVICE

DO NOT play with new piercings
DO NOT remove or change jewelry until healing process is complete
AVOID chlorinated hot tubs and pools until healing is complete
AVOID the ocean or bodies of water until healing is complete
CLEAN your piercing after going into water
If you suspect you're developing excess scar tissue, contact your piercer
After healing is complete, continue to keep your piercing clean


ATTENTION: IF YOU EXPERIENCE SWELLING. TAKE IBUPROFEN AND/OR USE COLD COMPRESS
DO NOT: USE ALCOHOL BASED PRODUCTS, IT WILL KILL GOOD BACTERIA NEEDED FOR HEALING IF YOU HAVE EXTREME SWELLING OR IF YOUR PIERCING GETS EMBEDDED/HAS PUS OR YELLOW DISCHARGE. OR IS PAINFUL THEN YOU SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR OR RETURN TO MILLENNIAL INK AND WE WILL HELP
KELOID OR PIERCING BUMP: TEMPORARILY SWITCH TO TEA TREE OIL OR HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. DO NOT CONTINUE USING AFTER BUMP IS GONE
